Ova-Zinc Tablets

Ova-Zinc is a "woman's" zinc supplement. It is formulated to include bovine ovary, uterus and placenta extracts, which are a rich source of zinc and support the female reproductive organs.

Recent studies have found that zinc deficiency is marginally more common in women than in men. This is partly because of the effect that oestrogen has on zinc levels, i.e. natural cyclical levels of oestrogen and taking the contraceptive pill. Alcohol increases the excretion of zinc in the urine and also hinders the elimination of excess oestrogen by the liver. Zinc deficiency should be particularly guarded against during a woman's reproductive years.

Directions: One tablet daily with food, or as directed.
