Ceylon Cinnamomum Zeylanicum” also called “True Cinnamon” is indigenous to Sri Lanka.

Ceylon Cinnamon, from only the thin inner bark of the tree, has a lighter brown colour and a finer, less dense and more crumbly texture. It has a mild, floral and distinct flavour with a unique sweet aroma. Often called "true" cinnamon, Ceylon Cinnamon is the prized, artisanal cousin of the more common Cassia.
Cinnamon may reduce fasting blood sugar glucose.

Sourced from the delicate inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree, it is carefully ground to a fine, soft powder. Its flavour is remarkably complex—subtly sweet and warm without the intense, sharp heat of Cassia, with hints of citrus and a delicate, almost floral aroma. This is the cinnamon of choice for discerning bakers and chefs who value nuance and sophistication. Its milder, sweeter profile makes it incredibly versatile for both sweet and savoury dishes, allowing other ingredients to shine while adding a warm, comforting background note.
